Clarence C. Case collection (CCC).

This collection consists of materials that reveal Clarence Case's involvement with the Civilian Conservation Corps alumni organizations. The collection contains subject files, dating 1932-1960, and contains newsletters, correspondence, newspaper clippings, publications, and personal papers. The newsletters are: Camp Roosevelt, Citizens for Conservation, Inc., and The sky pilot, and all three cover the same topics of meeting the old CCC goals of conserving natural resources. The collection reveals Case's dedication to the ideals of the CCC and his activism aimed at achieving those ideals. The collection is arranged alphabetically.

Clarence C. Case was born in Detroit, Mich. He attended Albion College and the Union Theological Seminary in New York where he received his A.B. in 1930. In 1935, he interned at the National Institute of Public Affairs (U.S. Office of Education) with a committee on youth programs. He became the Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Educational Advisor at Huron National Forest in Michigan. The camp was administered through the Michigan Dept. of Corrections.
